Song Evaluation

Tony Ray Jones is a Professional Songwriter and Music Producer, providing Song Evaluations “live” with you over Zoom, or Google Meet. You’ll receive a song evaluation from Tony Ray for an (1 hour) session analyzing every facet of your song and demo.

Tony Ray will provide valuable feedback and evaluation to help you perfect your music. Regardless of whether your song is professional, near perfect, or in rough form, he will make suggestions necessary to maximize the potential. Rough demos are truly welcome. His purpose is to critique and supply important feedback to you before a generous sum of money is spent making a recording.

A comprehensive evaluation of your song’s including Lyrics, Melody, Song Structure, Title, Idea and Market Potential will be discussed. All song evaluations on Zoom, or Google Meet with Tony Ray are strictly confidential sessions.

Procedures for Submitting Your Song

Submit your 1 (one) song material for review to: tonyray@backwoodsrecordingstudio.com via MP3, or on a CD. Please supply you’re Zoom info and Google Meet name. We can also Evaluate your song over the phone.

All submittals will be reviewed promptly, and your live evaluation session will be scheduled within 5 days from the date we receive your mp3s, or your CD package.

Cost: $85/per song paid through PayPal, we will send you a PayPal invoice and you can pay with a Credit or Debit card.

SUNMITTING MP3’s:

Please submit one song via MP3 to Tony’s contact email above: Please paste your lyrics into the actual text of your e-mail, and not in an attachment.
If your songs are already available online, just send us the link to your site, and we will go there to hear your songs. If your lyrics are not available on the site, please send them to us via e-mail.

MAILING a CD:

Please select (1) one song from your CD that you would like reviewed, indicating the track number of the cut. (Enclosed lyric sheets) If you would like your CD returned, please enclose a SASE (self-addressed, stamped envelope). However, we cannot send S.A.S.E.'s back to countries outside the U.S.

Tony Rays consultations are for individuals seeking guidance and input on songwriting and basic music business matters, including songwriting, feedback on your songs, music publishing, song-pitching, recording your project, networking, management, and career planning.

Tony Ray will answer questions you may have about music-related questions during the session. He will closely listen to your specific issues and career plans, and then provide recommendations and information to help you achieve your music goals.

Note: Song evaluations are based on Tony Rays experience in the Music Industry as a Music Publisher, Songwriter, Performer, Artist, Studio Owner & Producer.
